Miranda Pretorius
M.A. in Clinical Psychology
Miranda is a seasoned clinical psychologist with more than 33 years of experience, dedicated to supporting individuals across a wide spectrum of psychological needs. Since the end of 2022, she has been part of Genius Within, working as an Executive Coach with a particular focus on professionals navigating neurodiverse challenges.
In her private practice, she provides therapeutic support for clients with Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and those with neurodivergent profiles. Her coaching and clinical work are deeply informed by her keen interest in Pharmacology and Neurology, ensuring that her strategies are both evidence-based and attuned to the latest developments in brain science. She stays abreast if research.
She also facilitates co-coaching between clients and their managers, creating collaborative spaces where workplace challenges can be addressed constructively. This approach empowers clients to advocate for their needs while equipping managers with the insight and tools to foster inclusive environments.
Her coaching style is strengths-based, practical, and compassionate. She helps clients build resilience, manage stress, and develop strategies for executive functioning, communication, and self-advocacy. With her extensive background, she is particularly skilled at supporting clients who experience the “push–pull” of dual neurodivergence, such as AuDHD, where the interplay of autism and ADHD traits can make professional life uniquely complex.
Beyond individual coaching, she contributes to organisational change by guiding managers and teams to understand neurodiversity not just as a challenge, but as a source of innovation and strength. Her work bridges psychology and workplace consultancy, ensuring that both individuals and organisations thrive.
Miranda speaks Afrikaans (she lives in South Africa), and apart from speaking English fluently, she can understand Dutch, Flemish and Belgium.
She is passionate about her work and endeavour to assist clients to the best of her ability.
