Testimonial
“Gudrun Stolzenberg has been instrumental in helping me stabilise and rebuild during one of the most challenging periods of my professional development. What sets her apart is not just her knowledge of neurodiversity, but her ability to translate that understanding into practical, usable change in real time, under real pressure.
She helped me make sense of patterns I was experiencing but couldn’t yet articulate. For me, this was particularly around cognitive overload, anxiety, and how stress was distorting my perception of competence as a dentist. Rather than framing difficulties as personal shortcomings, she consistently grounded our work in mechanisms. She explained, with care, how working memory, processing speed, emotional regulation, and environmental factors interact and intertwine in the context of neurodiversity. That reframing alone was profoundly relieving and empowering for me as a clinician, son, and human being.
Gudrun’s coaching has been both containing and stretching. She creates a space where difficult emotions can be honestly acknowledged without indulgence, and then calmly guides the conversation toward agency and next steps. I’ve particularly valued how she helps me slow things down cognitively, as I tend to rush. She has helped me break down moments of overwhelm into parts I can actually work with, whilst still holding me to high standards of responsibility and growth.
Her support around state management has been transformative. I now recognise anxiety as information rather than threat, and I’m far better at spotting early warning signs before they escalate. The strategies we’ve worked on aren’t abstract. I have now embedded these into how I prepare, communicate, and recover after difficult clinical or interpersonal events. This has had a direct impact not only on my confidence, but on my safety and consistency as a clinician. She may not realise yet how much of a difference she has made to my self-confidence.
What I appreciate most is Gudrun’s steadiness. She doesn’t overreact, catastrophise, or minimise. She listens carefully, reflects back what matters, and helps me reconnect with my values when things feel noisy or destabilising. In moments where my self-trust dipped, she helped me rebuild it on evidence and structure rather than reassurance alone. The new practice that I am now at, following a move, is so much better, and I am developing well. She helped me through such a difficult time, and I am extremely grateful for it.
I’m genuinely grateful for her role in helping me move from survival mode toward something more sustainable and grounded. Her coaching has supported not just my performance, but my sense of professional identity, and that’s not something I take lightly. I would HIGHLY recommend Gudrun with full confidence to be anyone’s coach. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!! :)”
