Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards to Enter New Chapter

Genius Within announces that the Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards will be taken forward by Neurodiversity in Business, building on the awards’ strong legacy and expanding their future impact.

Genius Within is pleased to announce that the Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards (CNA) will be taken forward by Neurodiversity in Business (NiB), marking an exciting new chapter for the awards and the wider neurodiversity community.

Since their launch in 2019, the Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards have grown into the largest awards programme dedicated to championing the achievements of neurodivergent individuals, organisations and charities. Over the past seven years, the awards have recognised more than 100 neurodivergent individuals, allies, organisations and change-makers. They have provided an important platform to celebrate excellence, raise awareness and highlight the positive impact of neurodivergent people across workplaces and communities around the world.

Jacqui Wallis for Genius Within said:

“The Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards (CNA) have played a vital role in recognising and championing neurodivergent talent, raising awareness, and fostering a strong and supportive community. We are incredibly proud of the impact CNA has had and the platform it has created. Every year the awards grew, attracted attention globally and became recognised as the benchmark for celebrating inclusion, both in recognition but also through the awards event itself.

As we look ahead, we are excited that there is the opportunity to build on this strong foundation and take the awards to the next level. We are therefore delighted to pass the baton to Neurodiversity in Business, whose passion and vision will help grow and evolve the awards, extending their reach and impact even further in the years to come.

Genius Within would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the incredible community for their continued support, enthusiasm and commitment over the years. The success of the awards has been made possible by the many nominees, winners, sponsors, partners, supporters and advocates who have helped shine a light on neurodivergent talent and achievement.”

Special thanks are also given to the awards’ outstanding judges, whose time, expertise and care have been central to the integrity and impact of the Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards. Their dedication has helped ensure that the awards remain meaningful, inclusive and representative of the excellence found across the community.

Genius Within’s continued support will see them proudly sponsor the “Neurodivergent Ally of the Year” within the Individual & Community Impact awards later this year.

Although it is passing on the awards, Genius Within remains committed to supporting grassroots organisations that work with neurodivergent children and young people through its youth-focused umbrella, Blooming Genius. The organisation will continue to provide grants, with particular priority given to groups supporting those from minority communities. Recent recipients include Autistic Inclusive Meets (AIM), Jamie’s Farm, Black SEN Mamas, Frances Akinde’s anti-bullying work supporting children with SEND, and Marissa Webb and Dan Harris’s fundraiser to provide communication aids for non-speaking autistic children.

Through these grants, alongside our continued work as a Community Interest Company,  Genius Within remains committed to creating practical, lasting support for all Neurodivergent people and the organisations that support and employ them.
