Genius Within Social Value Impact Report 2026
Every year, we publish our Social Value Impact Report to reflect on the difference our work is making for neurodivergent and disabled people, the organisations we work with, and the wider communities we serve.
Our 2025–26 report brings together the outcomes, evidence and stories behind that work – from employment and social justice programmes to inclusive workplaces, community grants, pro bono support and our contribution to research and professional practice.
At Genius Within, social value isn’t an addition to our work – it’s how we judge whether our work has made a meaningful difference.
Our approach focuses on three connected areas: supporting people, strengthening communities and changing systems. That means helping individuals recognise their strengths and navigate barriers, extending support into communities that might otherwise be excluded, and working with employers and public services to create more inclusive systems and environments.
Between May 2025 and April 2026, that included supporting 1,122 people through employability and social justice programmes, working with 123 employers, and seeing 88% of programme participants actively seeking employment, education or training on completion.
Through our Blooming Genius community grants programme, we also awarded 16 grants worth £26,495, supporting grassroots ideas creating more inclusive opportunities for neurodivergent children and young people.
Alongside commissioned services, we continued to invest our expertise back into communities and organisations through pro bono support, providing 320+ Genius Finder® licences and more than £210,000 of pro bono value across services including consultancy, training and licence provision.
But numbers only tell part of the story. This year’s report also shares examples of what that impact looks like in practice – from employment programmes and participant experiences to our work with public services, the Armed Forces community, NHS organisations and grassroots projects.
