Gill Holmes Joins Genius Within Board
Genius Within are delighted to welcome Gill Holmes OBE to our Board, as a Non-Executive Director. Gill has had a stellar career as a civil servant, working to create better employment opportunities through her roles at the Department for Work and Pensions. Gill is well regarded by public sector, commercial and third sector leaders and has a reputation for authenticity, vision and diligence. She said “I’m excited to join Genius Within CIC and am looking forward to learning from them as much as, hopefully, supporting them in my new role.”
Genius Within’s work includes supporting career progress and neuroinclusion in over 500 businesses each year, helping HR professionals and leaders transform their working practices to become more inclusive and facilitating individuals to meet their potential. Additionally, we remain deeply committed to social inclusion and we want to be able to support neurodivergent adults wherever they may be in their life journey. As such, we also work in prisons and with people who are long term unemployed, because the disability employment gap is still not closing. We need invest the same high quality, professional coaching, assessments and personal development to those with fewer resources. This is part of our Community Interest commitment as a non-profit company.
Gill Holmes is as committed to supporting female-led companies as we are to the neurodiversity community. We are thrilled to learn from her, work alongside her deep expertise, and to have her support during our current phase of growth. Genius Within Founder Dr Doyle said “I’ve long been an admirer of Gill Holmes’ work, through her professionalism as a civil servant and her leadership of the employability space. The disability employment gap is a national and international concern, I am looking forward to Gill’s mentorship and wisdom in steering our work towards material change for neurodivergent adults.” We are honoured that she has chosen to support the Good Ship Genius and wholeheartedly welcome her aboard.
