Whitney Iles joins non-executive directors
With immediate effect, Whitney Iles will be joining the Board of Non-Executive Directors at Genius Within CIC.
CEO of Genius Within, Dr Nancy Doyle said “we have both informally peer mentored each other, as female CEOs working in the Social Justice space for many years. We share values and a life-long desire to effect change at the systemic level, breaking down structural barriers that cause exclusion. Whitney’s experience in youth work, working within communities that have been minoritized and disadvantaged due to race as well as her research in the neurobiology of trauma will enhance the conversations in the Genius Within board, contributing to our strategic direction and understanding of intersectional neurodiversity.”
Of the appointment, Whitney Iles commented “I believe the work of Nancy and Genius Within to be invaluable, and I am very excited to be part of the team.”
The Genius Within board includes professionals from a myriad of backgrounds, including corporate talent recruitment, psychology, assistive technology, employability, criminal justice, human resources and law, grounding us in a wide range of evidence-based practice. Also represented is lived experience of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, invisible disability and mental health needs.
Genius Within strives to be representative of the businesses and communities we serve, so that we may remain open to critique, and focused on our ultimate goal: inclusion, ambition and achievement for neurodiversity across all sectors and levels.
