Siena Castellon joins the Genius Within ambassador team

With immediate effect, Siena Castellon, award winning neurodiversity advocate has joined the ambassador team at specialist provider, Genius Within CIC.

Siena is a young Autistic, Dyslexic, Dyspraxic and ADHD woman. At 18, she is a best-selling author of “The Spectrum Survival Guide – How to grow up Awesome and Autistic”. At 13 Siena set up QL mentoring, and in 2018 she launched Neurodiversity Celebration Week, with over 500,000 students taking part in 2020. She has also been appointed as a Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the UN.

Speaking about working with Genius Within, Siena commented “Although I have been mentoring neurominority youth for several years, I am incredibly excited about joining the Genius Within team as a youth mentor. Being able to tap into the team’s wealth of knowledge and expertise will enable me to improve the support I provide to young autistic individuals and individuals with learning differences who are struggling with the challenges that they face.”

CEO of Genius Within, Dr Nancy Doyle said “Siena’s passion for supporting the neurodiverse community is evidenced by the amazing work she has already done in this field. We are delighted that she is joining individuals such as Paul Stevenson as part of our ambassador team and we look forward to working with her.”

At Genius Within, 43% of our team have lived experience of neurodiversity and 60% are disabled. We believe it is important to include lived experience of the communities that we represent when developing our professional services, building on our expertise as psychologists, workplace coaches and HR practitioners to form a balanced, co-produced service.
